Life is tough. Life is not fair sometimes. Life just plain doesn’t make sense at times. We do however, have some assurances from God. He promises to never forsake us. He promises to be our strength. He promises contentment in every situation. In, fact just read Phillipians 4 and you will see the picture Paul paints loud and clear. The big questions we have to answer is – how do we get there? How do we go from pain and suffering to resting in God? The answer is not simple, but I believe it begins as this song says – on our knees. It’s when we come to God, humble ourselves and give ourselves over to Him, that we begin to see what he has in store for us, our lives and the people we love.
Next time your tempted to fall into doubt, just remember the words of Paul and listen to this song, because “I touch the sky when my knees hit the ground.”
